Purchase Terms & License
This page summarizes the general conditions that apply when you buy and use the SimRacing Strategy Planner from ApexSimApps. It is written in simple language and does not replace local consumer law, which will always prevail where applicable.
1. Product type: software license
When you buy any ApexSimApps product (for example SimRacing Strategy Planner or Track Engineer) you are not buying the source code or any exclusive rights. You are purchasing a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive license to use the software for your own simracing activities.
- The license is for one person (one end user).
- You may install and use the software on your own devices (for example, desktop and laptop) as long as it is you who uses it.
- You may not share the license file, activation data or download link with other people, groups or communities.
- You may not resell, re-package or re-brand the software as your own product.
2. Price and payment
The current price of the license is shown on the main website and in the payment page. Unless clearly stated otherwise, the price is a one‑time payment for a perpetual license for the current major version.
Payments are processed through PayPal or other providers shown on the checkout page. ApexSimApps does not store your full card data on its own servers.
3. Delivery
After payment is completed the download page is displayed and/or a download link is sent to the email address you used during the purchase. In some cases a license file tied to your hardware ID is required; the steps to request and activate this license are described in the documentation included with the download.
4. 7‑day refund policy
We want you to be satisfied with the purchase. For that reason, ApexSimApps offers a 7‑day refund window from the date of purchase.
- If the software does not work correctly on your system and we are not able to provide a reasonable fix or workaround.
- If you accidentally purchased more than one license for the same person.
To request a refund you must contact us within 7 calendar days from the purchase date using the email info@apexsimapps.com, including:
- Proof of purchase (PayPal transaction ID or receipt).
- The email used for the purchase.
- A short description of the technical problem or reason for the request.
If the refund is approved we will cancel the license and you must uninstall the software and delete any license files that were provided.
5. Updates and support
- The license includes minor updates and bug‑fix releases for the same major version of the product.
- We try to provide best‑effort email support via info@apexsimapps.com. Response times can vary depending on workload and time zone.
- Very old operating‑system versions or unusual hardware configurations may not be supported.
6. Acceptable use
The software is designed as an educational and planning tool for simracing. You are responsible for any decisions you take using the information produced by the application.
- The tool does not guarantee race results or championship outcomes.
- You must not use the software to breach the terms of service of any simracing platform or league.
- You must not use the software for unlawful activities.
7. Limitation of liability
Within the limits allowed by applicable law, ApexSimApps shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the software, including but not limited to lost races, lost data or loss of profits.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these purchase and license terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date on this page and, where appropriate, highlight the change on the main website.
